Five Falls, two Germantown wrestlers qualify for state meet

Five Menomonee Falls wrestlers qualified for the state wrestling tournament at the Homestead Division I sectional Feb. 17.
Falls qualifiers include Casey Reigstad at 106, Alec Lind at 120, Tyler Gill at 132, Jon Thomas at 160 and Logan Fallon at 286. Thomas and Fallon won their weight classes.
The top two finishers in each weight class qualified for the state meet, which will be held at the Kohl Center at UW-Madison on Feb. 22-24.
At the Sheboygan South sectional, two Germantown wrestlers — Chase Celichowski at 126 and Isaac Riddle at 132 — earned second place finishes to qualify for the state meet. Also at at the Sheboygan South sectional, Jalen Spuhler of Hartford won the 120 weight class to earn a trip to state.
Slinger will be sending four wrestlers to the state tournament following the Sheboygan South sectional. Titles were won by Michael Parker at 113, Bennett Connolly at 220, and Charlie Covert at 285 while Caleb Ziebell placed second at 138 to qualify for state.
For West Bend East, Cayden Henschel won at 126 while Bryce Henschel won at 152 to earn trips to state. For West Bend West, Joe Leonhard placed second at 195 to qualify for state.
