Boys basketball: Falls struggles against Hilltoppers
Menomonee Falls struggled to contain Milwaukee Marquette Jan. 26 as the Hilltoppers topped the Indians 71-51.
The teams were close in the early stages of the first half, as a basket by Ricky Price III of Menomonee Falls tied the score at 16-16 with 7:21 remaining before haltime. Marquette then scored the next seven points and kept the lead for good. The Hilltoppers ended the half by scoring six straight points and started the second half by scoring the first six points to take a 42-23 lead following a jumper by Liam Schroeder. Marquette held a double-digit lead the rest of the way.
Niko Kerschner led Milwaukee Marquette with 18 points while Connor Allen led Menomonee Falls with 12 points. It was the fourth loss in a row for Menomonee Falls. Afterward, Menomonee Falls had a 4-6 record in the Greater Metro Conference and a 9-7 overall mark.

Germantown beat West Allis Hale Jan. 26, 65-58. Luke Taylor led Germantown with 25 points as the Warhawks improved their record to 3-7 in the Greater Metro Conference and 5-11 overall.
Hamilton narrowly missed pulling off the upset against Brookfield Central, losing to the Lancers 56-53. Patrick Baldwin, Jr. led Hamilton with 19 points. The loss dropped Hamilton to 4-6 in the Greater Metro Conference and 8-7 overall.
